Samantha Rahman '27
Samantha is a general biology concentrator in CALS. She is interested in population health and research. On campus, she is involved in the Cornell Center for Health Equity, Students Onto Scholars, P3, and the Biology Scholars Program. Previously, Samantha was a TA for BIOG 1440. She is now a Study Group Leader for CHEM 2070/2080 as well as a TA for STSCI 2150! Lastly, Samantha is a member of the Affect and Cognition Lab’s Healthy Aging Study, which looks into the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and potential interventions. Outside of Cornell, she is a volunteer with Baylor Scott and White’s Patient and Community Engaged Research Center where she primarily focuses on the literature review and paper writing process for studies related to mental health outcomes and substance use patterns within minority communities. In her free time, she loves listening to music (a lot of rock!), watching cheesy rom-coms, and catching up with friends.
Samantha’s words of encouragement for new students
“You belong here! Struggling is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of growth. New things are bound to feel overwhelming, but that does not mean they are impossible - challenging, sure, but not impossible.”
