Carlo Bayona '28
Carlo is concentrating in general biology and plans to attend medical school after graduation. He currently conducts research in the Affect and Cognition Lab focusing on tracing MRI data of the substantia nigra and locus coeruleus. This past summer, he was a medical scribe and translator for a free clinic in his hometown while also volunteering at a hospital. In addition, Carlo is involved in ALPFA, Weill Ithaca Network, Biology Scholars Program, and captains an intramural soccer team. In his free time, he enjoys reading history, watching the Premier League, playing spikeball, and traveling.
Carlo wants incoming first years to know:
“Don't be afraid to reach out to others - take advantage of all the resources and opportunities that Cornell has to offer! Build a community of friends, professors, and mentors around you that you can count on to support you. Most importantly, being a student at Cornell can be difficult at times, so take it easy on yourself.”
