Hawon Kook '28

Hawon is a student in CAS majoring in Biological Sciences with a concentration in General Biology and plans to attend medical school after graduation. At Cornell, she is involved in the Nwosu lab, Global Research and Consulting, CU Diversity Admissions Ambassadors, and serves as a Teaching Assistant for BIOMI 2900. She is also part of the Biology Scholars Program, P3, and Emmaus Road. Outside of class, she enjoys hiking, trying new foods watching soccer and swimming. Through her involvements, Hawon strives to demonstrate a passion for service, community engagement, and healthcare. 

Hawon’s words of advice for incoming students:

“Use your first year to explore your interests! Indulge in the new and exciting experience of coming to Cornell and being around such amazing people and opportunities. I've learned so much from my peers, and I recommend absorbing as much as you can because before you know it, you're graduating! ”
