Aditya Bakshi '27

Aditya is a computational biology concentrator and plans to attend medical school after graduating from Cornell. He is currently a member of the Nwosu Lab, where he leads his own bioinformatics projects exploring the genetic similarities between pancreatic and liver cancer. This past summer, he conducted research at Cornell while also shadowing and volunteering at a hospital. Aditya is a TA for CS 2110 and CHEM 2070, volunteers at Cayuga Medical Center, and is involved in ACS, Operation Smile, and the Meinig Scholars Program. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and playing table tennis or video games.

His advice to freshmen:

“Take it easy in your first year. Don’t overload yourself with difficult classes. There will be plenty of time for them in later semesters. Make time to build friendships, join clubs, and adjust to life at Cornell.”
