Andy Chen '27
Andy is a sophomore studying biological sciences with a concentration in neurobiology and behavior with plans to attend medical school after graduation. Last summer, he shadowed an addiction medicine physician where he was exposed to the exciting environment in a Trauma 1 hospital. At Cornell, he is involved in the Schaffer-Nishimura Lab, focusing on electrophysiological studies and behavioral experimentation with an Alzheimer's disease model in mice, with an emphasis on memory. He is currently involved in College Mentors with Kids, CURM, and Big Red Thon. For fun, he enjoys playing basketball, outdoor activities, and watching shows.
Andy's words of advice to incoming students:
"Don't rush. Take your time. It may seem like everyone else has everything figured out, but it's okay to feel lost. I assure you, most people are still figuring things out too."
