Kishen Rampersad '27
Kishen is a junior majoring in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Microbiology and plans to attend medical school following graduation. He conducts research in the van Wijk Laboratory, focusing on proximity labeling through TurboID biotin ligase in Arabidopsis thaliana. During the summer, Kishen worked as a Medical Assistant and obtained CPR/AED and Basic Life Support certification. At Cornell, he is a dedicated member of the Biology Scholars Program and is actively involved in PATCH and KDSAP. His favorite course is BIOMI 2900, for which he will serve as a Teaching Assistant. In his free time, Kishen enjoys reading scientific literature, engaging in creative writing, and exploring diverse cultures.
