Rena Wang '27
Rena is a sophomore concentrating in General Biology with plans to attend Medical School. During her previous summers, she interned at Pfizer and published a Literature Review about advances in the treatment of TTR Amyloidosis. On campus, she is a Research Assistant in the Sardana Lab, where she studies the mechanisms by which E3 ligases regulate the proteome. Rena is also a member of the E-Board for the Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program. During her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and learning French.
Her advice for all is
“Say yes to opportunities outside of your comfort zone, because these experiences will help you to grow as a person! Don’t be afraid to ask for help–there are so many people here who want to help you succeed. Cornell will challenge you academically, so be prepared to work hard, but don’t forget to have fun and make memories!”
