Aria Haghighat '27
Aria is a new student advisor with a concentration in Microbiology. On campus, Aria is assisting in quantifying the expression of proteins involved in antimicrobial resistance within Bacillus Subtilis at the Helmann Lab. He is also involved in the Cornell University Biomedical Device project team, Cornell Undergraduate Research Journal, and Cornell Taekwondo. After graduation, Aria aspires to pursue an MD-PhD route, as he finds both scientific research and its medical application fascinating. In his free time, he enjoys reading personal narrative novels, camping, and watching his favorite shows.
Aria's words of advice to incoming students:
"Try to find activities you enjoy outside of the academic environment. Whether it be clubs, social circles, or the gym, the opportunities cornell provides are invaluable for pursuing your hobbies and maintaining a healthy work-life balance."
