Abigail Heck '27
Abigail is a rising junior, concentrating in biochemistry. After graduation, she plans to pursue a Masters in Public Health and eventually attend medical school. On campus, she is a Clarinet Section Leader of the Big Red Marching Band and a member of HEART Cornell, the Biology Scholars Program, and the Big Red Pep Band. She spent her past summer volunteering in the operating room at Stony Brook University Hospital where she got to shadow and transport specimens across the hospital. Her favorite class at Cornell is one she is currently enrolled in- BIOMI 2911! The course staff is so encouraging and the material is super interesting. In her free time she enjoys sunsets on the slope, crafting, and spending time with friends.
Her words of advice for incoming students:
"Stay true to yourself no matter what. Even if you feel lost at first, the right people and things will find you. If you follow your heart, everything will fall into place."
