Lily King '28

Lily is a sophomore concentrating in Neurobiology and Behavior with a minor in Near Eastern Studies. She plans to attend medical school and pursue neuroscience research. On campus, she serves as the Co-Community Service Chair for PATCH, organizing blood drives, fundraisers, and health initiatives, and contributes to PATCH Science Kits, developing hands-on STEM activities for middle schoolers. Additionally, she is the Activism Chair for the Persian Students Organization, a member of the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Student Advisory Council, part of Rho Psi Eta, a pre-health sorority, and was a TA for BIOG 1500. In research, Lily studies how paternal stress influences offspring social behavior through neuropeptides in Cornell’s Integrative Neuroethology Lab. She has also conducted research at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, improving surgical faculty feedback methods and developing fall prevention strategies for older adults. This summer, she will be researching sleep and circadian rhythms at UCSF. Originally from San Francisco, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and exploring history.

Her advice to freshmen:

“It's okay to not have everything figured out yet! Don't be afraid to ask questions, everyone is here to learn and grow.”
