Allie Pequeno '27

Allie is concentrating in General Biology and minoring in ASL and Deaf Studies, and plans to take a gap year before attending medical school. Last summer, she participated in an REU at Duke University, conducting research on the infectivity of respiratory viruses in wastewater. This summer she will be working as a medical assistant at a Mohs dermatology clinic in Newport Beach, California. At Cornell, Allie is involved in the DeLisa Lab, where she investigates optimal glycosylation sites in antibody fragments for targeted immunotherapy. She is also part of the community service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, the Biology Scholars Program, Pre-Professional Program (P3), and EYES. For fun, she likes going to the gym, trying new restaurants, hanging out with friends, and drinking matcha.

Allie's words of advice to new students:

"Everything will fall into place in the end. Work hard, join clubs, and build meaningful friendships!"
