Mayabee Paul '27

Mayabee Paul is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neuroscience. She is planning to pursue becoming either a neurologist or an oncologist. Due to having various interests in the field of biology, such as studying genetics, neuroscience, oncology, and many more biological fields, she partakes in multiple different types of research. For instance, she engages in research at Weill Cornell, researching a nationwide analysis of liver trauma management and outcomes. She is also part of Dr. Lei's Lab, regarding the study of the GPX-1 gene on health issues. Mayabee also likes to contribute to her community, so she partakes in volunteering at the Elmhurst Hospital. Beyond this, she is currently part of various clubs and programs at Cornell, such as the Biology Scholars Program, Kessler Scholars Program, Cornell American Cancer Society, and the Student Organ Donation Association Cornell. During her free time, Mayabee likes to explore her hobbies, which are dancing, listening to music, watching shows, painting and drawing, playing musical instruments, and cooking and baking.
