Founded in 2009, the Dressage Club at Cornell provides an opportunity for equestrians at Cornell to learn and practice in the sport of dressage.

We provide an opportunity for students who miss their horse or haven’t ridden in a while to get back in the saddle and have fun with the lesson horses! The club is low commitment so the schedule is very flexible and members can ride whenever they have time. Members attend weekly lessons in groups of three with a dressage trainer at If Only Equestrian Center. This is 15 mins off campus but we arrange carpools for members without cars.

Lesson prices are subsidized by Cornell for a very reduced cost. There is no annual fee, but there is a tryout fee.

Who can join?

There is no previous dressage experience required and anyone with previous riding experience in any discipline is welcome to join. The only requirement is that members are able to walk, trot, and canter unassisted. We hold tryouts at the beginning of each semester for anyone interested in joining.
