Block & Bridle

Block & Bridle at Cornell University is an active National Block & Bridle Club chapter. Our club promotes animal agriculture and scholarship by providing our members with a plethora of hands-on opportunities with livestock. In the fall and early spring semesters, we host hands-on clinics with various focuses, such as horse handling/grooming, hoof trimming, duck husbandry, and lambing and sheep handling. We also organize educational tours within the vet school and local beef and solar farms.

Our Livestock Show and Barnyard Fun Day, hosted in April at the Livestock Pavilion, is our annual showcase of student animal handling and a family-friendly outreach event to educate the public about animal agriculture. Members gain livestock handling, animal showing, and public speaking experience through this opportunity.
