The Dairy Environmental Systems (DES) program is responsible for identifying, developing, documenting and introducing innovative methods in dairy housing systems that will enhance animal performance, well-being, efficiency, environmental compliance and overall farm profitability.
PRO-DAIRY farm business management programs are designed to positively influence dairy business management skills through financial analysis programs, management education programs, group discussions, business management presentations and network building.
The PRO-DAIRY Forage Quality and Cropping Systems Program focuses on improving forage quality and land use on New York dairy farms to enhance economic and environmental outcomes.
The PRO-DAIRY Herd Health and Management Program supports New York State dairy producers by leading educational programs, integrating research results, identifying research needs, collaborating on-farm with advisors, and participating in industry-wide initiatives.
The PRO-DAIRY Nutrient Management Program offers nutrient management educational programs with an emphasis on optimizing crop yields, reducing fertilizer costs, accounting for manure nutrients, identifying related environmental benefits and protecting water quality.
