Dr. Diana Onyango is the Head of the Technical Team at Farm Africa, where she provides strategic leadership to the organization’s technical work across East Africa. She oversees specialized technical leaders, translates strategic objectives into actionable plans, and ensures quality and consistency in agriculture, environmental conservation, and market engagement throughout project planning and implementation.

Based in Kenya and with experience across East Africa, including Ethiopia, Uganda, and Tanzania, Dr. Onyango brings over 21 years of extensive experience in both the private sector and NGOs. Her expertise includes developing, managing, and providing technical support for multidisciplinary projects focused on One Health, animal health, livestock production, rangeland management, food security, and livelihoods. Her work emphasizes sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, rural development, climate change resilience, and community empowerment.

Dr. Onyango holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, a Master’s degree in Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Agricultural Resource Management, where she is researching the effectiveness of integrating carbon-offset programs into agricultural practices.
