Owen (Gus) Dunn-Hindle is a graduate of Ithaca College and registered EMT. After field work responding to 911 calls as an emergency medical provider, union organizing, and developing policy for Ithaca's Green New Deal, he is now pursuing an MPS in Global Development at Cornell University. Based on his experience in union organization, his focus is on cooperative ownership as a potential alternative to exploitative and extractive economic models. His work centers on understanding the strengths and drawbacks of cooperative organization, and how they can be implemented as tools of development in both the developed and developing world.
