I am Qian Chen, a business and global development student with a strong interest in sustainability, climate finance, and the circular economy. My academic journey has been shaped by the desire to understand how financial tools and policies can drive meaningful environmental and social change. At Brandeis, I have taken courses on environmental justice, migration, and sustainable systems, which helped me connect global issues of inequality with the urgent need for climate action. I am particularly fascinated by how financial innovation and policy design can address challenges such as food waste, energy transitions, and resilient supply chains.
Beyond academics, I value cultural exchange and creative pursuits. Growing up in China and studying in the United States has given me a global perspective that I bring into my work and collaborations. I aspire to a career that bridges sustainability and finance, creating solutions that make both economic and ecological sense. Outside of school, I enjoy exploring music, travel, and conversations that broaden my worldview. My grand challenge is to help build a more sustainable, fair, and enjoyable world for future generations.
