Since 2017, Andrea Durmiaki (she/her) has had the pleasure of working in multiple areas of International Education and Development at Cornell. Andrea’s work experience in higher education includes international culinary education, study abroad programming, global internship programming, experiential learning, and English language learning.
Andrea holds a B.B.A from Marywood University. During her undergraduate career, Andrea studied abroad in Andalusia, Spain, as well as interned at the American Institute for Foreign Studies office in Granada.
Having worked in international education for over a decade, Andrea is committed to equitable opportunities for students interested in taking their studies and skills abroad. As a current Master of Professional Studies in Global Development student, Andrea plans to charge forward with creating fair access to international education and experiential learning opportunities with a focus on first generation students, underrepresented minorities, and students with financial need.
Andrea's passion for travel inspires her culinary advancements at home. Keeping a busy schedule, you can find her crafting and gardening around her home, camping, enjoying live music, and perpetually planning her next big trip abroad.
