Prior to attending Cornell, Unique obtained her B.A. in African American Studies and minored in Ethics as a QuestBridge, Greenhouse, and Dell Scholar at Emory. Her work to understand racial discrimination as a continuous force—one that directly contributes to the enduring effects of oppression—blossomed into a commitment to advocating for social change through political discourse. By investigating systemic injustice patterns, she seeks to uplift marginalized communities and forge a new path forward—one where (in)equalities and (in)justice are less pervasive and actively addressed through efforts to undo harmful discriminatory policies and actions. Unique aspires to work in international government, enhancing the livelihood of oppressed populations globally. She understands that before we turn our gaze outward, we must first start at home. “Until the table is set, we can’t invite others for dinner.”
