Meng Wang is a practicing attorney and researcher from China with extensive experience in complex litigation across civil, commercial, criminal, and administrative fields, as well as corporate finance and compliance. She has represented diverse clients in precedent-setting cases, ranging from defending individuals in high-stakes criminal trials to advising enterprises on regulatory compliance and government-led resettlement. Additionally, she contributed legal advisory and strategic planning expertise to a digital health commercialization project at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her early career at GE Healthcare and AsiaInfo, where she worked as a technical writer and marketing specialist, provided her with a multidisciplinary perspective on technology, business, and social development.
Wang earned her Bachelor of Laws from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, where she served as editor-in-chief of the university’s largest student newspaper. She has since led diverse teams in legal, media, and community contexts. Beyond her professional pursuits, Wang enjoys exploring natural sciences, philosophy, social theory, humanities, literature, music, and sports—interests that fuel her curiosity and drive to address complex global challenges. Her research focuses on law, governance, and institutional reform in global development, with particular emphasis on international cooperation, technology policy, and social justice. At Cornell, she looks forward to collaborating with peers and faculty to develop practical, justice-oriented solutions for pressing development issues.
