Adina Aamir received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University with a focus on international and public economics. She applied her knowledge to represent the American Pakistan Foundation at the United Nations Economic and Social Affairs Council and research vote by mail opportunities for the 2020 Presidential Elections. Most recently, she worked as a Policy Analyst collaborating with State Grantees to administer the Federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This experience provided her with insight into real-world policy impacts and their applications. She is excited to delve deeper into applied economic analysis and program impact evaluations to increase economic opportunity and improve labor conditions in developing countries, while taking implementation challenges such as corruption, geographical barriers, and political interests into consideration. She is passionate about cementing the voices of workers, mediators, and stakeholders in developing these programs and plans to guide her work with a bottom-up approach to development.
