Addis is an economist with over a decade of experience in the public sector. He has worked in key public institutions, such as the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange and the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute, where he participated in multiple development projects across a wide range of areas, including market infrastructure and access, rural financial services, digital technologies, and private sector development. He has expertise in project management, business analytics, and research writing.
Addis holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Haramaya University and a Master’s degree in economics from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He is also an alumnus of the Mandela Washington Fellowship of the U.S. Government’s Young African Leaders Initiative. He has research interests in development economics and public policy.
