Cong Wang was born in Northeast China and lives in Texas. He served in the U.S. Army for 10 years as an infantryman. He got his bachelor's degree in International Agriculture and Rural Development in December 2023 at Cornell. Having witnessed the suffering caused by war, Cong is passionate about working in disaster and conflict relief, as well as post-war reconstruction. During the Russia-Ukraine war, he collaborated with local military forces, civilian organizations, and NGOs to engage in humanitarian aid efforts in Ukraine. During his research visit to Europe, Cong visited multiple refugee camps and immigrant communities across the continent. He gained an in-depth understanding of the conditions within these communities and the underlying causes that led to their formation. Currently, Cong is enrolled in the Global Development Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program at Cornell, where he is preparing himself to better serve people around the world.
