Young Alum Mentoring (YAM)

Each fall, Cornell Communication alums connect with current students through Young Alum Mentoring. During this event, students meet young alums from a variety of careers to learn about internships, the job application process, and future careers. Date is TBA.

COMMConnect, See your degree in action

Each spring, Communication Advisory Board members and other alums visit campus to engage with and inspire Communication students. During this event, they meet with students in small groups to discuss job search processes and the state of the field. Other events include panel presentations, live podcasting, and workshops. COMMConnect is a wonderful opportunity for Communication students to connect with leaders in the field.

NYCOMM Seminar & Networking Trip

In fall 2024, the Department of Communication is offering NYCOMM, a 7-week seminar culminating in a trip to New York City. During the trip, students will tour leading media, public relations, news, and film organizations while interacting with some of the top leaders of each field, who just happen to be Cornell alums.  Learn the details of the NYCOMM networking trip
