Capitol Region Dairy and Food Processing Bootcamp
The Cornell Food & Dairy Processing Bootcamp is open to all job seeking individuals (ages 18 & up) who are interested in the field of dairy/ food processing (manufacturing). The program will provide participants with background information about food and dairy processing and exposure to job opportunities, including tours of the Stewarts Shops and BelGioioso Cheese Manufacturing Plants in the Capital Region (transportation to and from the plants is included). Participants will have the chance to connect with HR to set up job interviews, and they will receive a “Cornell Food and Dairy Processing Certificate” that can be used when applying for any food processing job. Lunch will be provided all 3 days. No prior agriculture or food processing knowledge is necessary for this program. Program is free to attend - an estimated $1,000+ value! NOTE: A stipend is available for participants with successful completion of the 3-days in person and 1-day of self-paced online learning. Dates: June 24-26, 2025 Time: 9:00am

Attending the bootcamp provides a valuable opportunity to learn from Cornell’s experts about food safety, good manufacturing practices, milk composition, and more. In addition to classroom learning, you will tour processing plants and hear from Human Resources and the plant’s employees.
