Adam Turner
Title: Aquatic Invasive Species Technician, DEC Region 9
Adam is an aquatic invasive species technician for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, where he focuses on monitoring and management of aquatic invasive plants throughout western New York. He comes to the NYSDEC after transitioning from the community-based non-profit sector. Having just completed his first season working in the aquatic plant field, Adam is excited to continue expanding his knowledge of aquatic plant management and habitat restoration for native plants in aquatic ecosystems. He has a BS in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont and is currently pursuing a graduate certification in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Maine. In his free time he enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing music.
