Tim Koch is a stream scientist and educator who works across several DEC units to coordinate and advance stream restoration projects, flood resilience studies, and aquatic habitat connectivity initiatives. Tim's background is in watershed hydrology and applied fluvial geomorphology. He has previously worked with the US Forest Service, NYS Dept. of State Coastal Management Program, and the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program.  At the heart of Tim's professional pursuits is a personal interest in how people connect with and assign meaning to streams and rivers.
