About

My name is Jacob, and I'm a Sophomore studying Environment and Sustainability with minors in Community Food Systems and SciComm. I grew up in a suburban North Carolina town, and my only reliable exposure to food was either from the supermarket or fast food outlets. It wasn't until college that I explored local and community-driven food systems, sparking my passion for food justice.

I am currently a student coordinator at Anabel's Grocery, where I mainly spearhead store logistics to foster an open and transparent environment for the Cornell community. I previously worked on an urban farm in Buffalo, focusing on holistic wellness surrounding nutrition. My experiences have guided my studies in the food systems realm, specifically surrounding regenerative economies, community political and social engagement, environmental justice, and equitable nutritional outcomes.
