Equine Ambassadors is a premier, yearlong leadership program for New York State high school juniors and seniors who are passionate about horses and eager to grow as future leaders in the equine industry. This free program offers youth the chance to build a resume, develop public speaking skills, and network with industry professionals across the state.

What is the Equine Ambassadors Program?

The Equine Ambassadors Program is a free, yearlong leadership experience for a select group of 6–10 motivated high school juniors and seniors from across New York State. Participants will:
- Build confidence and public speaking skills
- Create a professional resume
- Travel to 4–5 overnight events
- Participate in the NYS Fair 4-H for Horses Building (3 days/2 nights)
- Network with equine industry professionals
- Graduate from the program as a recognized Equine Ambassador

Who Can Apply?

- High school juniors or seniors for the 2025–2026 school year
- Interested in horses, leadership, and learning
- Ready to commit to program expectations

Program Expectations

- Attend all required events and meetings
- Submit a resume and complete a public speaking experience
- Engage fully in learning and leadership activities
- Represent NYS 4-H Horse Program with integrity
