Sian Cuffy-Young

Humphrey Alumni Ms. Sian Cuffy-Young (2011-12) makes a lasting impact as a waste management educator and social entrepreneur of Siel Environmental Services Limited — a social enterprise working to transform the way people think about waste in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. She teaches waste-related classes like composting and waste efficiency for businesses and has designed a short course on waste management with the University of the West Indies. As a mother, she also focuses on waste literacy education for children, having authored a book called “Kay’s Magical Adventures — Where the Garbage Goes” and hosting eco club meetings with schools to conduct fun activities around waste management.
