Giving to Entomology

Dear Entomologists,

I know that many of you have fond memories of your time at Cornell, taking classes in Comstock Hall, and maybe even working in one of our faculty labs. The Department of Entomology continues to be among the top-ranked Entomology programs in the United States, a ranking that we owe largely to the passion and commitment of our undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, academic and administrative staff, and our active and emeritus faculty members. We are dedicated to serving our stakeholders, both within New York State and around the world, through innovative research, teaching, and extension.

We are faced with significant financial challenges due to declining state and federal support, increasing labor costs, and rising inflation making supplies and equipment significantly more expensive. We need your help to maintain a top-notch educational experience for our students and our outstanding research and extension programs. Please consider a pledge or donation to the Entomology Department Gift Fund. This will allow us the flexibility to direct funds where they will support opportunities for excellence in undergraduate research and teaching, graduate professional development, or critical initiatives to maintain our standing on the cutting-edge of entomological research and extension.

Thank you on behalf of Cornell Entomology!

Patrick O'Grady, Ph.D.
Department Chair & Professor
