Growing our understanding of forests
The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment's forestry programs are focused on informing forest owners about wood lot management, maple production, invasive species, and more. Cornell owns over 4,400 acres of forest collectively across its two research forests. The Arnot Teaching and Research Forest and the Uihlein Maple Research Forest are managed by DNRE extension faculty and staff, helping to advance the education and outreach of our forestry programs.
