Soil Ecology & Turfgrass Entomology

Our program explores basic ecological interactions among soil arthropods, microbes and plants. Our goal is to use what we learn to develop effective and sustainable practices for managing soil-dwelling pests of turfgrass and other crops. We also seek to create soil management practices that promote belowground biodiversity and ecological services.
