Tell us a fun fact about you.

I collect plants.

What are the big challenges you want to tackle in the world?

I would like to make disaster response globally more efficient and effective.

What were you doing before the MPS program?

Peace Corps Zambia as a Fisheries Volunteer.

What does global development mean to you?

Creating a more equal human existence with regards to quality of life, opportunity and choice. It also mean doing all of this in a way that encourages a healthy and sustainable environment.

What has been the most memorable or impactful experience of your career so far?

While I lived in Zambia, my province suffered the worst drought in about 40 years creating mass famine. This encouraged me to tailor this program to understanding and managing disaster relief.

How do you envision your MPS degree contributing to your career?

I am hoping to understand more about the management and financial side of relief and response. I would like to network a way into a career in this field, which can be difficult to do in a non religious way.
