Engage with your community
A community of belonging. Free and open inquiry and expression. A sense of place and community for E&S students is developed and strengthened by participation and engagement in campus-wide and major-focused events.
To encourage collaborative learning and to develop a sense of community, the Environment & Sustainability program hosts, co-sponsors, organizes and advertises peer programming throughout the academic year.
Students are encouraged to participate in both social and academic events as well as attend seminars and workshops to gain knowledge and to develop listening and communication skills. You will build confidence by asking questions and joining small breakout groups. Go solo or with a friend. Events are a great opportunity for networking with faculty, staff, students, alumni and notable mentors in your fields of interest.
Find events on the Cornell event calendar, posted to bulletin boards, on social media, emails from your program office, Student Services, College Career Offices, Department seminars. Join Handshake to learn about career fairs and resume workshops. Get involved.
