MyCALSMoment
My favorite CALS moment is CALSfest! It is such a fun event with so many animals. I have pet dogs, held goats and tried local honey. It is a great way to spend time with friends and to meet many new people.
What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?
Something meaningful to me outside of academics that I am involved in is my position as the Bird Friendly Student Leader at the Lab of Ornithology. Working at the lab is so rewarding and an amazing place. I work with the Bird Friendly group to make campus a safer place for birds, especially in terms of preventing bird-window collisions.
How have you found your closest friends at Cornell?
I found my closest friends at Cornell through my classes! My major is amazing and gives me the flexibility to meet people in a wide variety of subjects. Many of my friends I met simply by studying with them and going to office hours. I have also met many friends through clubs on campus.
What is one of your favorite spots on campus?
One of my favorite spots on campus is the CALSZone in Mann Library! It is a great place to study and get some free drinks or snacks. It is also a very useful spot to find advisors and ask questions if you need to.
