The series provides discussions of best practices, training, case studies and insights into the editorial flow of the college and university. Due to COVID-19 event restrictions, this semester's sessions will be hosted exclusively on Zoom, with no in-person attendance option.

Fall 2020 Schedule:

Tips & Tricks for Remote Video Production

Friday, 9/25 | Zoom | 10 - 11 a.m.

Video production has become a challenge in the age of COVID-19 rules and regulations. Unable to bring freelance videographers onto campus or meet students, faculty or staff to film in-person, the only option is to bring video production projects in-house. But where to begin? Joining us with an extensive background in film and media production, Brynn Wilkins, undergraduate program coordinator in our Department of Food Science, will share tips and tricks for in-house video projects. Register for this session today.

Meet the CALS Marketing and Communications Team

Wednesday, 10/14 | Zoom | 10 - 11 a.m.

New year, new communicators! Join the CALS Marketing and Communications team for an informal meet and greet to connect with communicators from across the college. The final 20 minutes will be reserved for a Q&A and/or open discussion on any communications topics. Register for this informal networking opportunity.

The CALS Editorial Strategy

Thursday, 11/12 | Zoom | 10 - 11 a.m.

Join us for a session led by Jana Wiegand, MarComm content manager, as she offers an in-depth explanation of MarComm's editorial strategy and how CALS communicators can plug in. She will share CALS' priorities for editorial coverage, discuss the value in audience-based content decisions, highlight new ways to repurpose print content for a digital world with the help of new website widgets, and more. Register for this editorial strategy discussion.
