Guidelines for Internship Program
The [Name of Internship Program] internship program is committed to investing in the coaching and development of future [list possible careers- scientist, statistician, teacher, etc] through a limited term internship experience in an applied environment.
The primary goals of the Internship, as well as associated actions and responsibilities of both the intern and mentor include:
Goal #1: To learn how to [list relevant goal that provide clarity on the outcome expected. Examples might include: Learn how research groups work collaboratively to collect, analyze and assess data models to test specific hypothesis
Learning Objective - To demonstrate competence in being able to successfully [define skills, competencies or tasks. Examples might include Demonstrating competence in selecting appropriate statistical models to apply in order to achieve stated testing frameworks].
- Action 1: Training, Mentoring and/or Coaching - In support of this objective the following training and guidance will be provided by the host/mentor:

- Mentoring 2 as appropriate
- Coaching 3 as appropriate
- Action 2: Intern Responsibilities - Intern will be expected to apply these learned skills as follows during the period of the internship:
- Activity 1
- Activity 2
- Target Date of Completion- When is the Learning Objective to be accomplished.
- Evidence of Accomplishment – How will it be known that the objective was completed?
