MyCALSMoment

My CALS moment has to be walking around the Ag quad. There is such a diverse group of students that always look motivated to work. This gives me good vibes to work and most importantly have fun. I have met some of the peers and professors that are always there to help me out.

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major?

My academic highlight within my major thus far would be definitely taking the course, Ethics & the Environment. This class is a foundation course for my major, something I have been interested in learning even before applying to Cornell. The course itself covers the aspects of what there is beyond biology, thus Biology & Society.

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

Something that I have been quite involved in outside of school is being a tutor. I have had a passion for helping other students out with their academics. I started tutoring since 8th grade and ever since then I have fallen in love with the idea of it; I have met a diverse group of students who can always seek a helping hand.

How have you found your closest friends at Cornell?

At Cornell I have found my closest friends by going to play basketball at Helen Newman at night. Since the basketball courts are open during the week until 12:00 AM, I took advantage of that opportunity to not only play some basketball but also meet some of my closest friends right now, who I spend a lot of time with.
