MyCALSMoment

My CALS moment is my team making it to the FDSC 1101 Ice Cream Project finals! For the class, each team had to make an Ice Cream with the theme, “Freedom of Expression,” and my team made the flavor “Brewing Communi-Tea.”

What has been an academic highlight for you outside of your major? 

One major academic highlight for me took place in my Education class. I go to a middle school art class every week and work with the students. The students are so kind and passionate about art and I love going into the class and encouraging and helping them out!

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

A club I am a part of that I really love is Hydroponics Club. In the club, we put plants in water and this is where they grow. I love this club because the community is so amazing and the meetings are always fun with harvesting and planting!

What are your post-graduate goals?

I would love to work as a Food Scientist for a company. I would love to work as a product developer that aims to increase the sustainability and nutrition of food.
