Major & Minor

  • Major: Animal Science
  • Minor: Business

  • New Canaan, CT

At the beginning of my first Animal Science class I met so many people with similar interests to mine and was able to relate to all those surrounding me! Everyone is so great and caring, CALS truly is the best!

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major?

I loved my reproductive biology course (ANSC 2400). I found learning about reproduction really interesting! In addition, I really enjoyed how hands-on the lab portion of the course was.

What is an experiential opportunity you’ve had that has been meaningful to you?

I had an internship where I helped rehabilitate horses that had been abused, which taught me a lot about handling such a large animal. My goal is to go to vet school and work with thoroughbreds in the horse racing field.

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

Greek life has been really meaningful to me because I got to connect with people outside my major and meet caring women that support each other. As the Director of Health and Wellness for my sorority, I have been able to assist and encourage my friends.
