Snow sledding on the slope one cold afternoon!
What has been an academic highlight for you outside of your major?
Taking the many swimming classes offered at the university. I never knew I had much love for swimming until I took my first class and realized it was helpful as it calmed me down and helped me love how being in water feels and feeling like I am on top of it the world every time.
What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?
In general, I love helping my community. I used to do a lot of community service, and by the time I graduated high school, I graduated with a minor of 500 to 600 hours of community service. I have had the opportunity to work with "Learning English" at Ithaca, and I was reminded of my past and my love for community service.
What are your go-to campus resources?
CALS Student Services because the crew is amazing and dedicated people. I never went to the student center with questions and left feeling overwhelmed or anxious. Instead, the whole CALS program and its crew are amazing at making students feel secure and confident in the choices made to make our career and academic life successful.
