Cooking in the Stocking Hall kitchens with my friends, both for Food Science classes and for fun on the weekends. These are some of my favorite memories at Cornell because I'm doing what I love surrounded by those who are as passionate about food as I am!

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major?

Taking FDSC 1101 - The Ice Cream Making Class! As a Food Science Major, this was the class I was looking forward to the most at Cornell. I learned a lot about Food Science while having the opportunity to create my own ice cream flavor!

What has been an academic highlight for you outside of your major?

My First-Year Writing Seminar focused on how world hunger relates to the environment. I found this really interesting because it gave me a new perspective on the food industry. We created a proposal for solving world hunger, which was fun since it was a real-world problem to solve.

What is an experiential opportunity you’ve had that has been meaningful to you?

I've had internships with several food start-ups and gained real-world experience in how businesses in the food and beverage industry operate. From each internship, I learn more about new markets and trends in the world of food, which I'm fascinated by!
