My CALS moment was Club Fest. It was great learning about all the different club opportunities and interests that the school supports both from a professional and personal standpoint.

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major? 

An academic highlight for me was joining an ecology research lab on campus. Through my research, I have gotten the opportunity to learn from graduate students and professors on ecological concepts and hear their career advice.

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

I am a volunteer for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation where I collect data on amphibian migrations. I assist thousands of amphibians across roads by reporting the species, count, and direction.

What are your post-graduation goals?

My post-graduation goals are to go to graduate school to become a marine biologist field researcher, who focuses on saving coral reefs from climate change.
