MyCALSMoment
My CALS Moment was going to CALS Fest my first Summer at Cornell. It was a great way to see the whole CALS community come together which was a special moment as a new student.
What has been an academic highlight for you outside of your major?
An academic highlight for me was taking a Freshman Writing Seminar even though I came in as a transfer student. I heard a lot of about how fun these courses were and I was worried I wasn't going to be able to experience one, but luckily, I was.
Why is CALS a great fit for you?
There are only 2 engineering disciplines that also are in CALS so being part of one allows me to be in a smaller major while still in one of the largest undergraduate schools at Cornell. This fits my learning style perfectly.
What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?
An organization that I have been involved in is my (soon to be) engineering project team SensTech. On this project team, we participate in a competition in the Netherlands to solve a specific medical problem that changes each year by creating a biosensor to test for it.
