2013 Subwatershed Assessments: Herkimer, Oneida & Montgomery Counties
A June 2013 significant flooding in Herkimer, Oneida and Montgomery counties resulted in catastrophic loss of infrastructure, property and human life. In response to these losses, the New York State Department of Transportation in collaboration with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation retained Milone and MacBroom, Inc. (MMI) to undertake comprehensive assessments of thirteen sub-watersheds in Herkimer, Oneida and Montgomery counties. Completed in 2014, these assessments provide flood hazard mitigation alternatives for reducing the impacts of flooding. The links for the individual reports are below:
