PRO-DAIRY’s Dairy Market Watch provides monthly information and analysis of Northeast dairy market trends.
March brought positive movement in milk prices across Federal Milk Marketing Order 1. The Statistical Uniform Price (SUP) rose to $18.47 per cwt (excluding PPD), and with a $2.66 PPD in Suffolk County, MA, the total reached $21.13.

Component prices also increased, with butterfat at $2.02 and protein at $2.09.

On the demand side, fluid milk utilization increased across all classes compared to the previous month. Products like yogurt, cottage cheese, and ice cream also saw year-over-year growth in March—signaling steady consumer demand across key dairy categories.
