Lindsay Ferlito has been named dairy animal welfare specialist for Cornell CALS PRO-DAIRY.

As dairy animal welfare specialist with PRO-DAIRY, Lindsay Ferlito will help New York dairy farmers improve dairy welfare and cow comfort on their farms, be compliant with industry animal care program requirements, and work collaboratively with industry stakeholders to address emerging issues.

Ferlito completed her Master of Science with a focus on dairy cattle welfare and behavior from the University of British Columbia in 2011. Prior to joining PRO-DAIRY, Lindsay served as a CCE Regional Dairy Specialist in Northern New York, where she provided on-farm consultation and educational programming and conducted research related to dairy management and production.
