More than 800 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ students, staff and faculty members stopped by to savor Cornell Dairy ice cream at the 17th annual Summer Scoop June 28. Seventy-two gallons of eight flavors – from Martha’s Bits and Bytes to Big Red Bear Tracks, Ezra’s Morning Chip and Alumni Swirl – were served by CALS staff, bringing smiles to all who attended.

“What do I enjoy most about this event?” asked Kathryn Boor ’80, the Ronald P. Lynch Dean of the college, as she circulated around the Stocking Hall atrium enjoying a taste of Bavarian Raspberry Fudge. “It is seeing all these happy faces from across the entire university, watching people interact, enjoy themselves and have fun. If I can contribute in any way to people being happy while they are working at Cornell, my day is made. And seeing the children some of these parents have brought – it’s priceless.”
